A music tag editor for Android

Correct song details on your phone, one song or a whole album at a time.

A library is only as tidy as its tags. Shuttle Music has a tag editor built in, so a misspelled artist or a missing year gets fixed right where you noticed it, without exporting files to another app. I make it on my own, and it has no ads.

Edit tags

  1. Install Shuttle Music and let it scan your music, or choose folders with Android's folder picker.
  2. Open the menu on a song, or select several songs.
  3. Choose the tag editor.
  4. Change the title, artist, album artist, album or year, then save.

Each field has a reset button, so a slip is easy to undo before you save.

What works

  • Editing one song or many at once, so a whole album can share an album name, album artist and year.
  • Tags written into the files, which means other players see them too.
  • Artwork download for albums that are missing a cover.
  • Playlists, smart playlists and M3U import to keep a tidy library organised.
  • Formats including MP3, FLAC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, Opus and WAV.

Questions

Does editing change the original files?

Yes. The tags are written into the audio files on your device, so other players see the changes too.

Can I edit several songs at once?

Yes. Select several songs and edit the fields they should share, such as the album, album artist or year.
